First of all, we would like to thank you for your interest in the Greek Philately. Referring
to your e-mail from May 18th, 2011 we would like to inform you, that the Hellenic Post has
already, since September 2010, planned the issue of the commemorative set of stamps
"150 years since the issue of the first greek stamp", in order to celebrate the event of the first Greek stamp, which will be printed by the intaglio and chromolithography method. The chromolithography method will be used on a very small part and the intaglio on nearly the hole part of the stamps surface. Please note, that, the intaglio print has not been used as printing method by the Hellenic Post for the last 40 years.
Together with the commemorative set of stamps, the Hellenic Post will issue a feuillet, in
the same printing method. The above mentioned Series have been included in the 2011 annual stamps issues booklet, which have been circulated on January 2011, and will be promoted through a special ceremony in Athens. All the relevant information will be available on August 2011, on our site, and
