Viking Privy Mark Set We were unaware that a set of this type had been issued, but we recently came across a small quantity of mint gold maple sets, featuring a Viking privy mark. We believe these may have originally been issued to a dealer in Denmark, but are trying to find out more information. The certificate which accompanies the sets states that "This five-coin Viking Heritage Privy Mark Gold Maple Leaf set was authorised by the Government of Canada.", which hardly explains the reason for its issue. Proof gold maple leaf sets were only issued in one year, 1989.
